It’s been five matches, five chases and three defeats chasing a target for Chennai Super Kingsin #Dream11 IPL 2020 so far. This isn’t quite a usual and ideal start for Chennai Super Kingsin this IPL.

Barring Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson-in last match, CSK’s batsmen have looked rusty and out of sorts for most part of the tournament. They have failed to devise a smart batting plan, chasing a target and eventually succumbed to three consecutive defeats before last night’s win against KXIP.

After Chennai Super Kings failed to chase 164 runs target against Sunrisers Hyderabad, former Indian Player Virender Sehwag and commentator, was not impressed form batmen’s intent and efforts as he thrashed CSK batsmen in social media.

Sehwag said: “Yesterday’s match was a face-off between brains and brawn. It was ‘The Rock’ Warner vs ‘Big Brain GabbarDhoni. They say, both brains and brawn are required to win any battle, but Yesterday, Hyderabad’s warriors using only brawn demolished Chennai’s strategies.

Chennai’s senior team must have thought that Hyderabad’s top 4 scorers were gone when these two youngsters (Priyam Garg and Abhishek Sharma) came to bat, ‘What could these kids possibly do?’. But these kids were amazing; they cut Chennai down to size.

“Chennai, who are known for their cool attitude, turned out to be ‘fools’ in their own plan. Did Hyderabad win the match or did the Chennai Test Kings think they were at net practice?”

After Chennai Super Kings slipped to their third consecutive loss yesterday, KRK posted a highly critical tweet about MS Dhoni soon after the match. In the match against SRH, MS Dhoni played a good knock of 47 not out, albeit in a losing cause.

For three times in a row, Chennai Super Kings found themselves in precarious situation against Sunrisers Hyderabad when they were 36-3 in just six overs. Though Dhoni and Jadeja fought a late battle but the bad start with the bat meant, they were under the pump all the time. With 44 runs required of last two overs and Dhoni finding it hard to muscle the ball inDubai’s dry heat, CSK succumbed to 7-run defeat against SRH.
