Shikhar Dhawan to lead Delhi in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy

With the commencement of domestic tournament from 10th January every state associations were looking to march towards the title of this season. Each state will compete from each other for this epic title of upcoming season.

With announcement of every state teams, Delhi has announced its captain of the season and its none other than Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan. Delhi has announced a massive team squad of 42 members. With experience of national side, as a captain Shikhar Dhawan has lots of things to process out whereas another good news for Delhi campaign is the comeback of speedster Ishant Sharma who will make his arrival after a long injury.

Dhawan is going to play domestic games after the completion of international match against Australia whereas Ishant Sharma has last played the IPL-2020 and sustained injury which made him to rule out of the tournament in the mid season. He has initially announced for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy but his injury caused him to abort the series clash.

Team consisting of top players like Nitish Rana, Unmukt Chand, Pawan Suyal, Manan Sharma followed by star players like Shikhar Dhawan and Ishant Sharma. Every players has to report adequately to the coach of the team that is Rajkumar Sharma. Another streaking news, that Unmukt Chand is back in the team after coming back from Uttarakhand.

Delhi is now in the Elite Group-E with Kerala, Mumbai, Puducherry, Andhra and Haryana.

The last season wasn’t upto the mark for Delhi as they could only manage to win one match out of four matches.
