Today, South Africa has announced their squad for ICC world cup 2019. In 2015, AB de Villiers led the team but this time he will not be available as he announced his retirement from international cricket earlier. This is a big loss for South Africa. However, this time South African team is ready to play world cup 2019 under their captain Faf du Plessis.

South Africa has announced a strong team this team for world cup 2019.  In every world cup they have announced a strong team but have not won a single world cup till now. South Africa has played their first world cup back in 1992. They will be hoping to win their maiden world cup title this time.

For opening they have selected Quintoin de Kock and Hashim Amla. Quinton de Kock will also play the responsibility of wicket-keeper for them. He has been performing continuously well from last six months so he will be hoping to continue his form in world cup also. In middle order, along with Faf du Plesis they have added David Millier, JP Duminy and Rassie Van der Dussen. They have also selected some good all-rounders like Dwaine Pretorious  and Andile Phehlukwayo.

As their main spinner they have included Imran Tahir. South African fast bowling department is considered as one of the strongest fast bowling department of world. They have added Dale Steyn, Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi as fast bowlers this time.

In 2015 world cup South Africa reached in semi-finals but lost to Australia. This time they will try to win their maiden world cup title. South Africa will face England in opening encounter of world cup 2019 on 30th March.
