South African fast bowler came to India to join the struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League 2019. This is a great relief for RCB as RCB are in a disastrous position in IPL 2019. They have lost six out of six matches so far. The Virat Kohli led side is at the bottom of the Indian premier league 2019 points table. If RCB wants to qualify in IPL play-offs they need to win remaining all league matches.
Dale Styen will join in place of injured Nathan Coulter Nile who is suffering from a stiff back injury. He will return after a long gap of two years in IPL. He last played for Gujarat Lions in Indian premier league 2016, and that too only for one match. Dale Steyn had pulled out of the IPL 2017 auction, as he recovered from a career-threatening shoulder injury, and thereafter remained unsold in the 2018 and 2019 IPL auctions.
Dale Styen started his IPL journey with RCB and it seems he will end his Indian premier league journey with Royal Challengers Bangalore again. In 4th edition of IPL he played with Deccan chargers. After Deccan Chargers was terminated from Indian premier league he was drafted to Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2016 Indian premier league he played with Gujarat Lions. His economy rate has been 6.72 which is 7th best economy rate. He played 90 matches and took 92 wickets with his best being 3/8. He is consider as one of the deathliest bowler of the world.
Dale Styen will retire after world cup 2019. Recently, he was dropped from South Africa team for a short period but was included thereafter in team and since has performed fabulously well. Dale Steyn was unsold in IPL 2019 auction but has now been included in Royal Challengers Bangalore squad. His presence will boost the confidence of RCB players.
RCB next match is against KXIP on their home ground mohali. Bowling of Royal Challengers Bangalore has been a major concern for them but now with dale styen presence it will surely have some improvements. But other bowlers also need to step up, till now only Yuzvendar Chahal has performed well.
RCB played their last match against DC on their home ground but lost it. Royal Challengers Bangalore are heavily dependent on AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli but they also have not performed consistently well.
