For the past two months the sports activities across the world have been stopped completely amid the Covid-19 outbreak. With little chance of Cricket in near future, all the cricket lovers are looking forward to Men’s ICC Cricket World Cup 2020 for their entertainment. The multination tournament is scheduled to be played in Australia in October-November this year.

Recently, Aakash Chopra shared an old video of him with Bollywood star Suneil Shetty. In the video, Suneil Shetty, who is one of the ardent followers of the game, picked a possible World T20 squad of India.

With little change, Suneil Shetty has picked the top four in the form of Hit-man Rohit Sharma, T20 Marvel KL Rahul followed by two middle order rocks in the form of Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer. The top four are as strong as India has got at this point of time, all capable of changing the complexion of the game in few overs.

For the much debated No.5 slot, Suneil Shetty has chosen MS Dhoni’s experience over Rishabh Pant unpredictability and roughness. In his words, “As far as Pant goes, supremely talented player but I think Pant needs to lose 4-5 kilos of weight,” he opines. “It’s a positive thing that I mean to say. It’s not like I’m the god of cricket or the understanding of cricket. But, as far as wellness and fitness goes one could see the difference in movement,” he explained.

For the lower order, Shetty has picked three all-rounders in the form of Hardik Pandya, Vijay Shankar and Ravindra Jadeja. Suneil Shetty also had a few words of praise for Jadeja, who was infamously termed ‘bits-n-pieces’ player by Sanjay Manjrekar.

“No, I don’t think he (Jadeja) is a ‘bits-n-pieces’ player because I count the enthusiasm of a player as well. It helps to gain confidence. Like Virat, his aggression and passion has changed the mindset of youngsters,” he explained.

Suneil Shetty also seemed to have taken a special liking to fast-bowler Mohammad Shami as he termed him a dream bowler for any team. “I think he (Shami) is brilliant, especially when he pitches the ball up. I haven’t seen a cleaner run in a follow-through also than Mohammed Shami. He is a dream bowler,” he concluded.
