In seventh season of Bangladesh Premier League that started yesterday, a bizarre moment took place in its first match of the season between Chattogram Challengers and Sylhet Thunder, when Krishmar Santokie bowled a beard wide ball followed by a huge no-ball in his first over that was the second over of second innings of the match.

Krishmar Santokie was bowling to opening batsman Avishka Fernando of Chattogram Challengers. He bowled first two deliveries of his first over very well and then he bowled a very wide delivery down the leg side that would have been wideeven for a left handed batsman.

And after bowling two consecutive dot deliveries after that wide ball, he bowled a massive no-ball by overstepping almost 1 foot. This gave the batsman a free hit on very next ball. And Fernando took full toll of it by hitting the ball out of the park for a maximum on the next delivery of the over. Fernando went on scoring 33 runs on 26 deliveries with the help of 3 boundaries and same number of sixes.

Santokie bowled 4 wide balls and a no-ball in his spell of 4 overs that read 4-0-34-1.

With the help of 61(38) by Imrul Kayes and 49(30) by Chadwick Walton Chattogram Challengers won the match by 5 Wickets with 6 balls by chasing down the target of 163 runs set by Sylhet Thunder despite the great efforts by the Chattogram Challengers bowler Nazmul Islam. He bowled 3 overs for 23 runs and picked up two wickets on consecutive deliveries of 4th over of the innings.

Earlier in the first innings of the match Syhlet Thunder scored 162/4 with the help of unbeaten fifty by Wicket-keeper Batsman Mohammad Mithun 84(48) *. The pick of the bowler for Chattogram Challengers was Rubel Hossain, who bowled his full quota of four overs by giving away just 27 runs and picking up two important wickets of Thunder opener Rony Talukdar and captain Mosaddek Hossain.
