Indian Premier League 2020 auction will take place in Kolkata on December 19, and it will be a mini-auction. Chennai Super Kings is the most successful team of IPL because they reach in the play-offs of IPL every time. CSK has won the Indian Premier League title three-time; they won the IPL title in 2010, 2011 and 2018. In this year, CSK reached in the finals but lost against Mumbai Indians.
In the last season of the Indian premier league, the major concern for Chennai Super Kings was their middle-order failure. Only captain MS Dhoni was played well for them in the whole season. Now they need some good players in the middle order so they can try to buy some international player in auction.
Chennai Super Kings should target these three players in IPL 2020 auction
1. Glenn Maxwell
Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell was not part of IPL 2019 because he was preparing for the world cup 2019. He played in the Indian Premier League for Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab. Maxwell came in fame after the Blistering performance and his fearless cricket in IPL 2014 for Kings XI Punjab where KXIP reached in the finals. Chennai Super may be looking forward to buying Glenn Maxwell in the auction because he may resolve the middle order problem for them.
2. Jason Roy
English Batsman Jason Roy will be a good buy for CSK because he quickly scores runs in power-play. In the previous season, Shane Watson played only one and two good innings. So team yellow need a good opening Batsman. Roy has played IPL for Delhi Capitals. He scored 443 runs in 7 innings at an average of 63.2 in world cup 2019.
3. James Neesham
Neesam is a good fast bowling all-rounder from New Zealand. He was looking in good touch during the world cup 2019. Chennai Super Kings have only one fast-bowling all-rounder in their team who has Dwayne Bravo. If Bravo injures, No player that can replace him in the playing XI. So Kames Neesham will be a good buy for them.
