After the Ongoing Indian Premier League 2020, Indian team will directly travel to Sydney, where they will follow a strict 14-day quarantine before locking horns with Australian team. The limited-overs series will start on 27th November and the Test series will begin later on 17th December.
Now Ahead of the Australia tour, Varun Chakravarthy is struggling from a shoulder injury. It has been reported that He has a labrum tear in his shoulder that doesn’t affect his bowling but hinders his throwing. It’s an injury that he has had for a while but has aggravated as the IPL progressed, according to sources in KKR. Varun Chakravarthy was included in Team India’s squad for T20I Series.
“Chakravarthy has a labrum tear on his right shoulder. It generally requires a surgery. He us struggling to throw due to his injury. He didn’t opt for surgery because he wanted to play the IPL 2020. he is undergoinng rehab currently,” a source told TOI.
“This is clear case of hiding an injury of a player. Even if he is fit enough to bowl, it will defficult for him to throw in the huge grounds of Australia,” the source added.
“The selectors weren’t informed about the injury. Now it’s up to the selectors to pick Varun for the Australian tour or not. It will be selectors call,” a BCCI official said.
