Both the teams are playing second test match at Hagley Oval, Christchruch and hosts won toss and chose to bowl first. At the batting, Pakistani tail ender Naseem Shah involved in a funny incident in the 83rd over in which he was playing with Mohammad Abbas.

The visitors only managed to score 297 where their star performer was Azhar Ali with 93 runs whereas skipper Mohammad Rizwan with 61 runs. The visitors was shattered with ultimate bowling by Kyle Jamieson who took five wickets whereas Southee and Boult managed to take 2-2 wickets each and respectively.
