If the reports are true Virat and Anushka are preparing to give a big surprise to all of the Indian Cricket fans very soon. According to the reports, the couple is going to produce a bio-pic on Indian female cricket star Jhulan Goswami.

Biopics are currently trending in the Indian Cinema and the biopics are not only proving to be biggest hits for the producers but also playing a significant role in making India a sport loving country. Over the past few years, we have seen many biopics being released over different sport personalities, starting from the legend Milkha Singh’s Biopic- Bhag Milkha Bhag to MS Dhoni’s– MS Dhoni-The Untold Story to Mary Kom to Soorma to Dangal and the upcoming 1983, which is based on India’s Victory in 1983 World Cup.

Jhulan Goswami is one of prestigious and successful personalities in Women’s Cricket. In the career spanning over 15 years, the fast bowler from Bengal represented India in 10 tests, 182 ODIs and 68 T20Is. Jhulan Goswami is the most successful bowler in Women ODI cricket with 321 ODI wickets to her name. She made her debut in 2002 in England.

According to the sources Virat is producing the film while his life partner Anushka Sharma is going to play the role Jhulan in the bio-pic. According to the Sources Sony Pictures India (SPI) Managing Director, Vivek Krishnani, might call for a press conference soon announcing the movie.

The source also revealed that the couple has already been in talks with the West Bengal Cricket board and Anushka will reach Kolkata’s Eden Gardens Stadium within a few days to begin with the shooting. Jhulan is also expected to be there to give details about her illustrious career and her start as a professional cricketer. And it is expected that Jhulan might also accompany Anushka to Mumbai for the later parts of the movie.

FYI, the fast bowler from Bengal hanged her boots from the T20 format right before the 2018 Women’s T20 World Cup in the West Indies. Although, Jhulanis still representing India in the other formats of the game at the age of 37.
