Biopics and their popularity have been something to cheer about for the fans in last decade. From MS Dhoni to Sachin Tendulkar to Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) and Dangal, we witnessed a number of biopics depicting the careers of these legends on the big screen.
A biopic basically dramatises the life of a real person with all the glamour of a feature film. All these biopics portrayed the life of legendary athletes quite well to connect with the feelings of billions of hearts. More importantly, they proved to be great commercial hits to keep motivating the producers to bring more of such real life stories.
Now, as per the latest news, if all goes well, we might soon be watching a biopic on current India captain Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli himself seems to be quite keen on his biopic and it won’t be a surprise if he makes his Bollywood debut with his Biopic. Virat also has a perfect ally in Anushka- the actress, producer and his wife.
Captain Kohli, who debuted for India at a tender age of 19, has been phenomenal since his debut for India even winning a World Cup in 2011. In the 12-year career so far, Kohli has already included himself in the list of all-time greats. After taking the baton form his idol, Sachin Tendulkar, he has set new parameters in limited overs cricket, especially in chases.
On Sunday, Virat Kohli called upon his good friend and Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri for an Instagram Live video session. Both the legends discussed a range of issues during the interaction.
On asking about acting in his biopic, Virat Kohli put an interesting condition as he said, “With Anushka, I will definitely do the biopic myself,” during the interaction.
Virat and Anushka, famously known as Viru-Skha make a lovely couple and since Anushka has a big name in Bollywood, she might agree to Virat’s Condition. Virat Kohli also credited Anushka for all the success and changes, he has brought in himself as a human kind.
“I wasn’t this person always. I truly believe that everyone has a giving and compassionate side to them but there is always an individual that comes in your life who brings it out. For me, meeting Anushka was that moment when I started to realise that this is not all about me. Life is to look at another person and live like that,” Kohli said.
“Then you become confident of who you are and you become confident of giving or being compassionate. She made me realize that the position that I am in, it is so important for me to try and change things around me for the better… If someone comes to me with a problem and if I am in a position to do it, I will always do it,” he added.
