On 15 Feb 2020, the IPL GC has released the much-awaited schedule of the upcoming VIVO IPL 2020. The marquee tournament will kick start from 29th March 2020 with defending champion Mumbai Indian locking horns with three-time winner Chennai Super Kings in the dazzling floodlights of Wankhede Stadium.

The 60- fixtures tournament will entertain the world for 57 days with its antiques, action pack moments and thrillers. As always the tournament will be played in Robin-round format. Eight teams will fight for the much-coveted trophy with one of them coming victorious in the final of mega-tournament. This year’s IPL final will also be hosted by Wankhede Stadium Mumbai. IPL governing council likely to release the schedule of knockouts matches later.

With the release of the schedule, there are also rumours that the 2021 edition of the tournament will also see two new teams being added in the tournament. However, there is no confirmation about the news but it is believed that many corporate houses in India are bidding for new 2 teams.
