In last season of IPL Shikhar Dhawan played from Sunrisers Hyderabad. He played 14 matches and scored 497 runs with the average of 33.26. Shikhar Dhawan’s powerful batting and great fielding skills make him different from others. In 2008 left-hand opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan played for the Delhi Daredevils. And once again Shikhar Dhawan is playing from Delhi Capitals so he said that Delhi is like my second home.
He turned out for the Mumbai Indians for next two seasons. Year 2012 was the peak season of IPL for Shikhar Dhawan because he played 15 matches and scored 569 runs for Deccan Chargers.
Domestic edition performance took him in a spot in India’s Test squad for the home series against Australia in 2013. He has spent 10 seasons away in IPL before joining the Delhi franchise. He is one of the players who have played all seasons of IPL.
Dhawan said that he will be looking to help young players get used to the pressure of playing in such a big tournament. He continued that Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium has been his home ground since his early days, and he will be doing his best to perform for the team as he know the conditions of pitches well. Dhawan also said that he is very excited to be a part of the Delhi Capitals for this IPl season and it is very happy feeling for him.
Shikhar dhawan said
“In IPL, the team who wins the trophy is always the one who has the best balance in the squad. Our team this year is also very balanced as we have good all-rounders, spinners and batsmen. The most important thing for us will be that our Indian batsmen play well and our top 4-5 batsmen are Indian, so I am expecting a great season ahead,” he quoted as saying by PTI.
