The ICC cricket world cup 2019 will be held in England & wales from 30th may to 14th July, 2019. This is the 12th edition of the ICC cricket world cup. 10 international cricket teams are going to participate in world cup this time. All teams have to announce their world cup squad before 23rd April. Any team can change their squad before 23rd May but after that they have to take permission from ICC to change their squad.

All teams have already announced their world cup squad for 2019 except West Indies. Today, West Indies have also announced their squad for ICC world cup 2019. Jason Holder will lead West Indies squad for world cup. They have included openers like Chris Gayle and Evin Lewis. This year Chris Gayle is looking in fabulous form. He smashed 39 sixes against England in West Indies – England ODI series and won the man of the series award.

Chris Gayle had earlier said that he is going to retire from ODI cricket after world cup 2019.  So this maybe the last world cup for Chris Gayle. He is currently playing in IPL 2019 with KXIP.

They have included some world class all-rounders like Andre Russell and Carlos Brathwaite. Andre Russell is looking in tremendous form in ongoing IPL 2019. He has hit 41 sixes so far in IPL 2019.

West Indies have won starting two world cup tournaments but after that they have not won any world cup. They will try to break their losing streak this time and win World Cup 2019. They will start their world cup campaign against Pakistan on 31st May.
