Today team India has arrived in the UK for the ICC cricket world 2019. World cup 2019 will start from May 30. India will start their world cup campaign from June 05 against South Africa. Before that, India will play two world cup warm-up matches against New Zealand and Bangladesh on May 25 and 28 respectively.

In an interview, Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal said,

“Whatever happens, you need Mahi bhai. We still obey what he says. He intervenes when we go wrong. It was the same when we first arrived. Even today, if we plan something of our own, we feel the need to talk to him about it,” Yuzvendra Chahal said.

“It feels nice to know that our partnership works. We know each other for seven-eight years. We were together at the Mumbai Indians. We trust each other. If I have a bad over, I know he will try to cover it up from the other end by being a bit defensive so that I can make a good comeback in my next over,” Yuzvendra Chahal added.

At the World Cup pre-departure press conference, Virat Kohli said, “In hindsight, if you look at it, someone like Kuldeep who has had so much success, it is important to see a period where things don’t go your way. We are glad that it happened in the IPL rather than during

the World Cup,” Kohli said, firmly backing the spinner.”
“So he had time to reflect and correct things and come into World Cup even stronger. We know the kind of skill set he possesses alongside (Yuzvendra) Chahal. They are two pillars of our bowling line up.”

“Kedar also, we understand the kind of pitches they got playing at home. We are not worried about him. He was looking in good space. Yes he did not get runs, but Twenty20 is such a format in which you don’t get runs and it can go on like that for a few games,” Virat added.
