Now the league stage of world cup 2019 is finished. Now move forward to the semis. India, Australia, England and New Zealand are the fourth semi-finalist. But before the Semi-finals, two Australian players Usman Khawaja and Marcus Stoinis injured and doubted for the semi-final. Usman Khawaja retired hurt during the South Africa match due to a hamstring injury. Marcus Stoinis also injured during the South Africa match and bowled only three overs.

“It doesn’t look ideal for Usman,” Finch said. “He’ll have a scan tomorrow and if we need a replacement – and I think we will – but until you get the definitive scan it’s hard to know. But it’s not looking great for him, in all honesty. He’s done a couple of hamstrings before and he said it feels a bit similar.”

“Marcus is just a bit sore in his side,” Finch said. “We’ll have to wait for the scans.”

Matthew Wade and Mitchell Marsh will join the Australian team as the cover of Usman Khawaja and Marcus Stoinis. Both are the part of Australia A squad. Australia A is touring the UK. Matthew Wade scored a brilliant century against Gloucestershire. He made 115 runs in just 117 balls while Mitchell Marsh took three wickets.

David Warner and Aaron Finch are playing well for Australia. David Warner has scored 638 runs in the nine world cup matches so far at an average of 79.95 while Aaron Finch has scored 507 runs in the nine world cup matches at an average of 56.63. Mitchell Starc is leading the Australian bowling attack. He is the highest wicket-taker in the world cup 2019with 26 wickets.
