Yuvraj Singh and Wasim Akram are all set to play Bushfire Cricket Bash match on 8 Feb. Cricket Australia is organising Bushfire Cricket Bash, an all-star T20 match, prior to the Big Bash League’s finale on the same day in the afternoon.The match will serve as a curtain-riser to the Big Bash Finale. This is a charity match and the fund generated from the match will be donated to Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.
The teams will include legendary players from all over the world, with Shane Warne and Rickey Ponting captaining the two teams. The teams will be coached by the illustrious legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Courtney Walsh. While the Pointing XI will be coached by Sachin Tendulkar, Courtney Walsh will coach Warne XI.
The teams will include the stars like MS Dhoni, Adam Gilchrist, Brett Lee, Justin Langer, Michael Clarke, Shane Watson and Alex Blackwell. While the likes of Steve Waugh and Mel Jones will mark the legendary attendance in the dressing room as non-playing members. The former Australian opening batsman Matthew Hayden has also made himself available for the match.

Yuvraj Singh has not played a competitive game since November when he played in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The legendary all-rounder has been one of the renowned named in the shortest format of the game. On the other hand, Wasim Akram is one of the legends of all time. Akram claimed 415 and 502 wickets in 104 Tests and 356 ODI matches respectively in his career.
Cricket Australia have organised three matches on the same day to raise funds for the donation. Apart from the BBL final and All-star T20, CA has also scheduled a women’s T20 international between Australia and India at Junction Oval in Melbourne.
