The IPL T20 Carnival 2020 is less than 25 days away now. The players, franchises, IPL GC and BCCI has already chalked out all the plans. The posters are out, the social media is on high and the twitter is again chirping with the extravaganza fever. This time, the mega tournament will take place in the UAE in the wake of corona virus and the franchises have already reached in UAE to acclimatize their players.

But a bad news comes from CSK camp, according to times of India, 10-12 members of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) contingent a tested positive for the COVID-19. Apart from this, one CSK player has also been found to be COVID positive and the affected ones have been isolated and are stable.

Chennai Super Kings, who were expected to start their pre-season camp on Friday for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2020, had decided to extend the mandatory six-day quarantine in the UAE. Reports now suggest that the franchise took the decision after several members from the CSK contingent tested positive for COVID-19.

“Even when football started in Europe, a few players had tested positive. So with eight IPL teams and over 1000 members, this was a possibility. This could have happened to any team. It is just unlucky that it has happened to CSK despite taking all kinds of precautions, the source told TOI.
