As players like Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Chris Morris are big names among them and franchises will look forward to them and all of this there is one more player who has been included in the list of giant players.
The young Nepal spinner Sandeep Lamichhane who has impressed everyone in the global leagues including IPL format also. He has debuted IPL in 2018 under Delhi franchise. Till that he was included in the team for three years but eventually released in this year.
He has played 9 matches yet in IPL from which he has registered 13 wickets with having economic rate of 8.34. His terrific spin has given him appreciative branch to explore but in the concluded edition he wasn’t featured any game for the Delhi Capitals and warm the bench for whole season. Due to the likes of Ashwin, Axar Patel and Amit Mishra in the team, young spinner hasn’t even came to take the place.
Thus there are three teams who could buy Sandeep Lamichhane in IPL 2021 Uaction
1] Mumbai Indians
Defending Champions might look for a spinner as they don’t have a good spin attack as seen in the IPL-2020. If they chose him, team can get one overseas spinner. With the likes of his wrist spin and he can be good option for them along with Rahul Chahar.
2] Kings XI Punjab
Having more than 50Cr in their kitty, why won’t they go for overseas spinner with having 5 international players slot. As team released Mujeeb Ur Rahman, so they can now look towards Sandeep Lamichhane who could join hands with spinning duo M Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi to strengthen teams spin attack.
3] Kolkata Knight Riders
With previous edition, Narine was more mixed in controversy regarding his bowling action so having a back up spinner like Sandeep Lamichhane can provide them more option and if Narine doesn’t act as all rounder then franchise can go with Lamichhane for the tournament as he can be more lethal for the franchise.
