Troubles for CSK are not decreasing, moreover it’s increasing. Lungi Ngidi has already left CSK squad due to strain injury and as we already reported David Willey will not join CSK squad as his wife is giving birth to their second child. Now there is one more bad news of CSK.
As we reported earlier that DJ Bravo got injured in match against MI it turns out that the injury was very serious. DJ Bravo has been ruled out of IPL for 2 weeks due to hamstring injury. The news was confirmed by CSK batting coach Mike Hussey yesterday.
What does it mean for CSK?
This is a very bad news for CSK as DJ was one of their main players in this season. DJ bravo has taken 7 wickets in just 4 matches he played in this season. Not only bowling but batting of CSK will also get in trouble. His finishing skills have been valuable to CSK. He was also a key fielder for CSK and no other player can take his place.
Although CSK are at 3rd place on the IPL Points Table with 3 wins from 4 matches but absence of prominent players will affect their performance. This thing was also spoken by MSD in the post match presentation ceremony after match against MI. He said “It is a tough thing – this so-called momentum, it doesn’t really matter, a good start from the bowlers will make things tight, once you set the tone, the game goes along in that flow. We will have to see the wicket for the next game, we have to see the combination. DJ Bravo has an hamstring injury, we don’t have a few players, we already have some injuries, David Willey isn’t there, he has his own problems, Lungi Ngidi isn’t with us as well, we will have to look at the pitch and then decide on the right combination.”
