The franchises along with players and support staff have already reached the UAE for IPL 2020 and are raring to go after almost 6 months of inaction.

Former greats and brains of the game have already started making bold predictions. First in the list is India’s former opener and esteemed cricket commentator, Aakash Chopra, who has singled out four overseas players that the Royal Challengers Bangalore might look to fit into the first XI.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has been one of the most popular franchises in the IPL with a large number of fan base across the globe. But for all the popularity, they trophy cabinet is still empty after 12 seasons of IPL. They have always been a batting heavy side with the names like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle and many others starring in the playing XI but their bowling unit has been their Achilles hills most of the time.

But this time around, they have a good blend of experienced campaigners like Chris Morris, Dale Steyn, Kane Richarson along with Indian fast bowlers and spinners to strengthen the bowling suit. In batting also, they have got the likes of Aaron Finch, AB de Villiers, Moeen Ali among others to field a strong XI.

And team selection is also one of the major issues RCB management going to face this time around. Aakash Chopra, on a video shared on FaceBook page, tried to decode the overseas players puzzle by naming Finch, de Villiers, Moeen Ali and Morris as his four overseas picks in the XI.

“I feel you can play all three. You can play Finch as opener, AB de Villiers as a batsman, Moeen Ali and Chris Morris. These will be my four overseas players in the RCB team I would like to make,” Aakash Chopra said in a video shared on his Facebook page.

“You have enough Indian spin and Moeen Ali will also give some overs of spin. You have a lot of Indian pacers, you have Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Mohammed Siraj – you have enough,” he added.
