AB de Villiers announced his retirement from international cricket last year. After that he took rest for 6 months and then started playing in leagues around the world. AB de Villiers also known as Mr. 360 degree has played in many leagues around the world.
After his retirement, he first featured in Mzansi super league which was the first T20 league organized by South Africa. He was the captain of Tshwane Spartans in this tournament. Although his team got out from league matches but his performance was good. He played 10 matches and scored 282 runs with an average of 31.33 in this tournament.
After that he featured in Bangladesh premier league. He played for Rangpur Riders which successfully won the tournament. AB de villiers played an important part for his team. He played 6 matches scored 247 runs with an average of 61.75 which included a century. After that he played for Lahore Qalandars in Pakistan Super League but could not play final stages of tournament due to injury.
Currently, he is playing in IPL 2019 for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He is in fabulous form. He has played 8 matches so far and has scored 307 runs with an average of 51.17. It includes 4 half-centuries also.
Now, as per reports he will be playing in the ninth season of Big Bash League which is going to start at end of this year or at starting of this year. It’s being reported that many clubs have already approached him to play for their team. Big Bash league is one of the major T20 leagues of the world. It’s organized by Cricket Australia and is one of the most the most watched leagues around the world. Now, it’s up to AB De Villiers whether he will join BBL or not.
