Adam Zampa, Aussie leg-spinner, once had tweet in 2016 regarding the Indian skipper Virat Kohli creating a slight dig. In the recent edition of Indian Premier League 2020, Zampa was the part of Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in which Bangalore finished in the fourth place of the tournament which was conducted in UAE.
Unfortunately Adam Zampa had a few appearances in the league of about four matches in this year of IPL. The 28 year old spinner made claim that Indian skipper and RCB skipper Kohli reads and follow every stuff present on the Twitter.
What Zampa quoted on ‘Sydney Morning Herald’ on Virat Kohli?
Zampa quoted Sydney Morning Herald in a recent interview that he is more queried on present two players in the tweet of Kane Richardson, said that he don’t know those players which was indicating AB De Villiers and Virat Kohli.
“I replied in a typical manner back then. That was just taking the piss at them. ‘Who are they, mate?’ The Indian fans did not let me live it down. Virat had obviously seen it.”
“I played my debut back in the day and bowled an over to him. The last ball of the over he smacked it for four, came down to me and said, ‘Stay a long way away from Twitter, mate’. I was like, ‘Geezers, this bloke reads everything on Twitter’. He went on to get 120 (108*) that day. I stoked the fire”. Quoted by Zampa.
The story continued between Virat Kohli and Adam Zampa
Adam Zampa was the part of RCB Camp in this year IPL. He had shown his gratitude towards his skipper because of the nice gestures by Kohli towards him.
Zampa quoted “It was the first day I arrived and VK WhatsApped me ‘Zamps, here is the USD 15 off voucher at a vegan restaurant from Deliveroo. It is really good restaurant. I didn’t have his number. He made it as if we have known each other forever”.
He also said skipper talk more about coffee, food and travelling. He also said that Kohli quoted him “Do you want a Beyond Meat Burger?”.
This gesture from the skipper indicated his humble nature towards his teammates which constantly made a positive impact and impression on Zampa.
He also added that Kohli is a well cultured and good mannered guy who is always in a mood of fun. He also quoted that “The one thing you take away from spending time with those guys is they are as much of a human being as you are. One night he took me aside and talked to me about his travels through Nepal. He is always talking to me about his new coffee machine. He is a pretty normal bloke”.
However it will great to watch these both players playing for their county in the coming international match from November 27th. The battle between both the players will be quite interesting to watch. Let’s see what both of them are going to do.
