Finally the Indian Team had opened their account with a win over Afghanistan in the T20 World Cup by making themselves alive for the semi-final berth. India had an explosive inning yesterday and also led their drastic change in the net run rate with the win. Now the Indian Team has a net run rate of +0.073. and need to win over Scotland and Namibia with the same ease carried out against Afghanistan.

Men in Blue standing on the 4th spot in the points table and their qualification scenario stands with two wins with a huge margin for them and aiming New Zealand to lose against Afghanistan or Namibia. This is the only condition for men in blue to level the points with Afghanistan and New Zealand to go forward.

Afghanistan won the toss and were selected to bowl first. India acquired Suryakumar Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin in the playing XI while leaving Ishan Kishan and Varun Chakaravarthy. Then again, Sharafuddin Ashraf and Hamid Hassan came in Afghanistan’s playing XI.

Rohit Sharma specifically was looking more undermining as he wasn’t showing benevolence on any bowler.

Afghanistan’s fielding was poor too during the match. In the tenth over of the innings, Rohit Sharma played a shot towards the point, where an Afghan fielder  made a frantic plunge to save the boundary. Regardless of coming to the ball, it looked like the defender pushed the ball towards the limit while finishing his plunge.

Seeing this, Pakistan fans have begun asserting that Afghanistan have fixed the match and they aren’t in any event, attempting to conceal this reality.

Rohit Sharma scored a flashy fifty and got out in the wake of scoring 74 runs in 47 balls, which included eight fours and three sixes, he was even awarded as the Man of the Match.
