Chennai Super Kings player, Ambati Rayudu, presently playing for the Andhra group, is good to go to play for Baroda Ranji group. The Andhra Ranji group cricketer will join Baroda Cricket Association’s (BCA) camp to be coordinated after June this year and afterward begin playing for the group in the forthcoming season. This is the second time that Ambati will play for Baroda.
BCA CEO Shishir Hattangadi quoted like this- “Ambati, a member of CSK in the Indian Premier League, had approached us and expressed his desire to play for Baroda. After discussion, the BCA’s apex council agreed to rope him in for the Baroda team.”
The presence of the 36 year-old Ambati Rayudu in the group is supposed to assist Baroda with defeating its horrible showing in the last Ranji season sans having encountered cricketers.
Baroda all-rounder Deepak Hooda quit the group last year after he was restricted by the BCA on disciplinary grounds.
Hooda had left the group right in front of a pivotal T20 competition last year after a verbal disagreement with Krunal Pandya. Experienced player like Hardik was not able to play for Baroda in Ranji Trophy in the last season, while Krunal too quit subsequent to playing only one match.

“Baroda currently has very few senior players and Ambati’s inclusion will help the team get a balance. We need an experienced player like him to mentor the players and also perform in the team,” stated by Ajit Lele, BCCI Secretary.
In November last year, Krunal had left Baroda group’s captaincy after a terrible execution in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy.
Ambati Rayudu had joined Baroda cricket crew in 2010-11 season and played for four seasons. Subsequent to giving a decent execution in the group, Ambati was even selected for the Indian group in 2013.
