The Indian Premier League has always been a mode of entertainment for all the viewers and fans. Every season is always meant to be tremendous with new twists of actions. But the last two seasons were somehow affected by the COVID-19 consequences.
Due to the hike of covid cases, in 2020 whole league was shifted to UAE whereas in the middle of the tournament of 2021, IPL was stopped in India and started again at UAE, and from now with again covid being increasing day by day many changes in the plan is noted.
It is said that the BCCI is planning for a Plan-B ahead of IPL-2022. Growing number of cases will affect the tournament and to conquer the situation management is proportionally working on the scenario to be in the stage of being under control.
With the spike of cases again in the country, BCCI is thinking of Mumbai as the IPL Centre for the match conduction. There are only two cases of possibilities that are either keeping 10 centres or being stuck with 3 Centres that are Mumbai Based- ( Wankede, CCI & DY Patil Stadium).
According to Cricbuzz, The Board hasn’t decided yet to again shift the tournament to UAE, as it has already been the two seasons being played there. It is also said that IPL-2022 might start before the decided date that is shifting it to March 25 from April 2.
It is considered due to the presence of 10 teams now in the competition with matches being scripted as day games and fewer double headers. So keeping whole circumstances under the same radar, BCCI is planning to keep the games upright and complete before any consequences strike.
Now it will be a major time for the management to release all the precautionary measures ahead of IPL-2022 seeing fan’s entertainment as well.
