Andre Russell Ruled out of world cup 2019


West Indies have won only one match out of 6 matches they have played. Windies will face India in their Next game of world cup 2019. If West Indies want to qualify for the playoffs they need to win all their reaming matches of the group stage and also hope that other match results go in their favor.

West Indian All-rounder Andre Russell is struggling with the knee injury during the tournament. Now he has been ruled from the rest of the world cup 2019 due to knee injury. Russell has picked four wickets in five matches. He also did well with the bat. So it’s the big lost for West Indies.

Sunil Ambris will join Windies team as a replacement of Andre Russell. He has played 6 ODI for West Indies at an average of 105.33. He has scored a hundred and one fifty.

In the last Match against New Zealand, Chris Gayle and Carlos Brathwaite played well. Carlos Brathwaite has played his career-best inning. He scored his maiden ODI century. Brathwaite failed to chase down the target for windies but with this Brathwaite won man cricket Fans hearts. Now Windies will be hoping that he will continue their form in the upcoming match.

“The International Cricket Council has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 has approved Sunil Ambris as a replacement player for Andre Russell in the West Indies squad for the remainder of the tournament,” the ICC said in a statement.

Windies have the remaining three matches of the world cup 2019 group stage. They are at 8th position in the points table with 3 points.

Chris Gayle is playing his last World cup. He may announce his retirement from international cricket after the ICC cricket world cup 2019. He is the only player who scored an ODI double century for West Indies.
