The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), drove by Jay Shah, is proposing to arrange the Asia Cup 2021 towards the finish of June in Sri Lanka, TOI covered Monday (March 8).
The multi-country competition must be dropped a year ago because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier this year, also Asia Cup was terminated due to hike in the covid cases.
As per TOI, the BCCI have been secured a gathering with the ACC to affirm the window for the occasion.
The report additionally proposes that if the Asia Cup goes on, the BCCI will second-string crew for the opposition as India’s driving players will be in the United Kingdom, post the World Test Championship (WTC) last, preparing for the Test arrangement against England.

In such a situation, any semblance of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant among others will not be found in real life in the white-ball competition, which will be played in the T20 design this year.
“There’s no other choice. We can’t risk the preparation for the series in England. And cricketers can’t twice undergo quarantine. If the Asia Cup happens, India will have no option but to send a second-string squad,” quoted by TOI as said by Source.
While the WTC last is booked to be played from June 18 to 22 with June 23 going about as a hold day. The coming World Test Championship will be played between two top-most deserving team that India and New-Zealand.
With the win over, England in the final home test, Men In Blue has claimed first spot in the points table of ICC Test Championship whereas also became the top team in the ICC Team Test Ranking. The five-Test arrangement among India and England is scheduled to be held from August 4 to September 14.
