This season can be called as the worst season for RCB. Royal Challengers Bangalore has not been able to win a single match till now. Yesterday they lost their consecutive fifth match against KKR. It was huge defeat as they could not defend a huge total of 205 runs against KKR. At one stage it was looking as an easy win for Royal Challengers Bangalore. KKR needed 75 runs in last 4 overs to win which was a next to impossible thing to achieve. But poor bowling by Royal Challengers Bangalore and brilliant performance by Andre Russell swept away the match from RCB.  KKR won the match by 5 wickets with 5 balls remaining.

Now it has become very difficult for RCB to reach in play offs. If they want to qualify in play offs, they have to win their next seven matches out of their remaining eight matches.  Royal Challengers Bangalore will be looking for their first win in this IPL season.

Now, there is both good news and bad news for RCB and Royal Challengers Bangalore fans. The good news is that Nathan coulter Nile will be joining Royal Challengers Bangalore squad and bad news is he will be joining the squad on or after 13th April. Moreover, Australian fast bowler will be available only for 2 weeks for RCB as all Australian players are expected to return to their country as Cricket Australia has made it mandatory for players to return to Australia before May 1st for world cup preparations.

Both Marcus Stoinis and Nathan Coulter-Nile were expected to join the Royal Challengers Bangalore before their match against RR. However, Stoinis joined up with RCB before the Rajasthan Royals clash while Nathan Coulter-Nile opted to rest. Now both Australian players have to return to their home country before May 1st.

This is another blow back for RCB which is already in trouble. Royal Challengers Bangalore are at the bottom of the points table with 0 points from their first 5 matches. If RCB wants to qualify in play offs, they have to win their next seven matches out of their remaining eight matches.
