Following the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia, the BCCI has released the squads for India’s bilateral series against Bangladesh and New Zealand. Jasprit Bumrah won’t play in either of the bilateral matches because chairman of selectors Chetan Sharma didn’t rush him back to fitness, despite the fact that the young, explosive pacers Kuldeep Sen and Yash Dayal have been selected for the upcoming series.

The Men in Blue will play three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals in New Zealand beginning on November 18.On November 25, the ODI series will begin.

Chetan Sharma, a former Indian cricketer and chairman of selectors, provided an update on the condition of seam attacker Jasprit Bumrah, who will not play in either series. He promised that the star pacer would play in the four-match Test series between India and Australia in February of next year.

“He will definitely be part of the team for the Australia series. We do not want to rush things with him this time as we did before. So we’ve been cautious with him for the Bangladesh series,” stated by Chetan Sharma during press conference.

It is important to note that Jasprit Bumrah made a comeback from an injury in the T20I series against Australia earlier this year, but then he got hurt again and couldn’t play in the ICC mega event.

Chetan Sharma stated that the selectors are taking note of the performance of young Indian batter Sarfaraz Khan, who scored centuries in both the Duleep Trophy final and the Irani Cup, and that he will soon receive his national call-up.

“We are giving him the opportunities to him where we can. We opted for him in India A squad. I’ve been speaking about him to the selectors as well. He will get an opportunity very soon,”stated by Chetan Sharma
