Chennai Super Kings has always been the most consistent team in the history of IPL but the last season wasn’t much remembered for the franchise. In the whole history of IPL, Chennai Super Kings placed first time in the seventh spot of the points table in IPL-2020.
Dhoni and co members have always been a lethal competent side and this will be their target towards the IPL-2021.
Before the commencement of the new season, CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan on Thursday ended his quiet on Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni IPL future, only two days in front of CSK versus DC match. He said that they are not taking a gander at anyone past Dhoni, as the previous Indian captain won’t play his last IPL.
“If you ask me, I don’t see him retiring anytime soon. Not this year at least and this is my personal opinion,” stated by Kasi Viswanathan, CSK CEO as told to InsideSport.
Dhoni has been in charge of CSK since the debut IPL in 2008. The 39-year-old has driven the Chennai side to three IPL titles, second-most noteworthy after Mumbai Indians who has five titles under their cap.
Dhoni has been glancing in acceptable structure in front of the mission opener. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman has been coming down sixes during the net meeting, which could be a major help for the CSK group the board.
With the bidding towards some star players, this time Yellow Army seems to be more confident and balanced as compared to the previous edition and this will be the place where Thala Dhoni will use his tactical move.
Chennai Super Kings will be going to play their opening match against the young Delhi Capitals on 10th April 2021 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
In this match, both the team will be led by wicket-keepers Young Rishabh Pant leading Delhi Capitals and Experienced Dhoni leading Chennai Super Kings.
