Former Zimbabwe skipper  Brendan Taylor took to Twitter on Monday (January 24) and made an awful disclosure. He proceeded to uncover that an Indian “business ” fooled him into doping and extorted him later. 

The former captain made a disclosure that the misrepresentation undermined him to recognise fixing in global matches. 

This seriously affected the veteran’s physical and psychological well-being and thus, he’s set to go through restoration on January 25 to get his life doing great.

The episode dates occurred in October 2019, when Zimbabwe players were seeing the monetary emergency as the public board neglected to pay them charges. 

Indeed, the International Cricket Council (ICC) had suspended Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) for neglecting the public authority’s obstruction with the board’s organisation. 

Subsequently, foreboding shadows were approaching over the cricketers in the country.

Simultaneously, an Indian “businessman ” made a methodology towards Brendan Taylor with respect to sponsorships and the expected send off of a T20 contest in Zimbabwe.

But the timing was such that we hadn’t been paid for 6 months by Zimbabwe cricket and it was questionable whether Zimbabwe would be able to continue playing in the international arena. So I made the journey. The discussions took place, as he had said, and on our last night in the hotel, the businessman and his colleagues took me for a celebratory dinner.”stated by Taylor.

“We had drinks and during the course of the evening they openly offered me cocaine, which they themselves engaged in, and I foolishly took the bait.”further stated by him.

 “The following morning, the same men stormed into my hotel room and showed me a video taken of me the night before doing cocaine and told me that if I did not spot fix at international matches for them, the video would be released to the public.”concluded by him.

In the interim, Brendan Taylor additionally referenced that the ICC will before long be prohibiting him for a considerable length of time and he would acknowledge it. He additionally asked the adolescents to gain from the story not fall in any such snare.

“I would like to place on record that I have never been involved in any form of match-fixing. I may be many things but I am not a cheat. My love for the beautiful game of cricket far outweighs and surpasses any threats which could be thrown my way.” His statement for the youngsters.
