Bold Statement by Aakash Chopra


Former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra, has expressed that Ravindra Jadeja’s determination in the T20 World Cup, which is to be held not long from now, would cause worry for the Indian side. He expressed this in one of his youtube videos, where he was talking about India’s turning choices for the marquee occasion.

 He proceeded to feature Jadeja’s affirmed spot in the T20 World Cup 2022 crew, in spite of the fact that he referenced that the left-arm spinner will not be picking a ton of wickets.

Chopra said that Yuzvendra Chahal would be the main and epitome spinner to be chosen into the crew, given his wicket-taking abilities and incredible form. He referenced that Ravindra Jadeja would be the second spinner to be chosen. 

The former cricketer said that it is known to all that Jadeja will be chosen into the side and will play in the XI notwithstanding the absence of his wicket-taking capacity. Chopra likewise featured that Jadeja has had a less than ideal IPL season this year. He referenced that the southpaw played 10 matches in the IPL where he got only five wickets at an average of almost 50, an economy of 7.50, and a strike rate near 40.

Nonetheless, it is worth focusing on that Jadeja has gotten six wickets in the six T20Is that he has played in Australia. He has done as such with an economy of 7.82 and his best figures Down Under are 2/21.
