After a victorious win against Australia in their own den, Indian Team is marching towards the comeback home series against England which will commence from 5th February and will played in Chennai. With just few days left for the Chennai Test, many analysts and cricketers predicts the playing XI which will be used by both the sides.
Talking on this, Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg had some words over predictions took in the bowling lineup of Indian Team. First talking on the pace attack he suggests India should go with Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Siraj and Ishant Sharma due to their versatility in bowling.
“For India, I will have Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, and Siraj. All three quicks complement each other. Bumrah – quick, can attack the stumps, can move the ball both ways. Ishant Sharma – slightly higher, a little bit of extra bounce, and Siraj comes from a slightly different angle” said by Hogg on his YouTube channel.
Afterwards he talked about the spinning department where he suggested that hosts should go with Ravichandran Ashwin and debutant left arm spinner Axar Patel. He even reckons that team can even go with Hardik Pandya in place of Mohammad Siraj if he certainly keeps to bowl in the red ball cricket.
“The two spinners that I would play will be Ashwin and Patel. Ashwin, well, he is the more experienced player. Patel adds a little bit of variety by turning the ball away from the right-handers. If Hardik Pandya can’t bowl 20 overs, I won’t be playing him instead of Siraj” added by Brad Hogg.
Team will miss the services of Ravindra Jadeja who has been ruled out due to sustained injury in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, so the hosts could keep Axar Patel in the place of experienced all rounder or with extremely appreciative performance took by Washington Sundar can also keep his place attained. Kuldeep Yadav is also in the list of spinning department.
