Rishabh Pant has made it a talent of scoring large thumps under tension. He did it twice a month ago against Australia, once against England a month ago and he doled out another on Friday, against England, in the fourth and last Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in transit to his lady home Test century.

His past best at home has been three scores of 90s – 92, 92 (both against West Indies in 2018), and 91 (against England in Chennai in 2021). With the century on day 2 of the last tie against England, Pant currently has three Test hundreds of years to his name – his lady came against England t the Oval in 2018 (114) and his second, an unbeaten 159, came in Sydney against Australia in January 2019.
