Chennai Super Kings had been true example of what comeback is meant for!!
With being the first team to be knocked out of IPL-2021 to clinching the title for the 4th time in the history of IPL in this year’s edition…Dhoni and the crew has came a long way. By beating Kolkata Knight Riders in the final, CSK became the titleholder in the 14th edition. Now they are the second most successful team of IPL just behind the Mumbai Indians.
This will be the last time for all the IPL Franchises to play with their squad members as with addition of two more teams in IPL-2022, all the franchises have to go for a mega auction where they can only keep 4 players from their previous squad and then have to call up for a auction to buy others.
This will be a big auction for all the teams who felt bit hard season for them. According to the reports, Owner N Srinivasan has earlier said that Dhoni will be their first retention choice as they don’t want Dhoni to retire or leave from the Yellow Army.
“Dhoni is a part and parcel of CSK, Chennai and Tamil Nadu. There is no CSK without Dhoni, there is no Dhoni without CSK” said by N Srinivasan.
According to Cricbuzz, it is said that With Dhoni the other retentions from Chennai Super Kings might be Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja whereas from the overseas players, it might be either Faf Du Plessis or DJ Bravo for them.
Ruturaj Gaikwad was the Orange Cap Holder and Emerging Player of IPL-2021. He had a dream season for him in the 14th edition whereas Ravindra Jadeja had also a great season with being the best Indian all rounder in this season.
Talking about the overseas players, Faf du plessis and Bravo had also excellent season and because of there tremendous performances, this will be a big call for CSK Management to take the adequate decision.
