After the retained and release list by each franchises every analyst is questioning over releases ahead of IPL-2021. Former Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir reckons that MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings has took good decision of not releasing core players as to maintain the building blocks of team. They had only released few players like Piyush Chawla, Murali Vijay, Kedhar Jadhav, Monu Kumar and Harbhajan Singh.
Despite of being the first team to be knocked out in the concluded edition, still team has maintaining core strength. Right now with the release of Piyush Chawla and Kedhar Jadhav, CSK has bagged bidding amount to 22.90Cr with remaining six slots for auction.
With this approach Gautam Gambhir has admitted that the strategy took by Chennai Super Kings, is extremely commendable and it seems the way MS Dhoni used to do. After all being the team to be knocked out they still making team core with betterment and to give advice to the youngsters.
“This is MS Dhoni’s specialty. I have always said that MS Dhoni doesn’t think too far ahead. He only thinks about building the team for particular season and that id the difference between CSK and RCB. People are saying that CSK had a very bad season and needs an overall revamp but despite that, they have left only five players. On the other hand RCB have left ten players even after qualifying for the playoffs” said by Gautam Gambhir.
“CSK’s success story in the IPL is a balanced mind which knows how important it is to give security to the players, not only to those players who are in your playing XI but also all the players who are sitting in the dressing room” added by Gambhir.
If we ignore the last season, each and everyone knows CSK is the most consistent team ever in the history of IPL with having three titles in their name and being at second spot just behind Mumbai Indians who has 5 trophies in their name.
