Talking about the released player of IPL-2020, Glenn Maxwell was the one which was biggest of them as Kings XI Punjab has released him from the squad but know Former Indian Cricketer Aakash Chopra reckons that Delhi Capitals should bid on Australian all rounder Glenn Maxwell. They had a good season as the franchise has reached first time in final In the history of IPL.

They had retained almost of their players and players like Rabada, Nortje, Dhawan has been influential in their department.

Aakash Chopra feels that team should definitely go for a player who could be perfect back-up for Marcus Stoinis. He suggests players like Moises Henriques, Cameron Green, Shivam Dube and Chris Morris.

“The Delhi Capitals may need a back-up for Marcus Stoinis, an all rounder who can bat down the order, play the big shots and bowl a little. It is better if he can bowl fast but spin will also do” quoted by Chopra.

“So, it could be Cameron Green, Moises Henriques, Chris Morris or Shivam Dube. I don’t see any other player of Stoinis’ ability coming in the auction. Shakib doesn’t fit in this team as he is a top-order batsman” added by Chopra.

He even feels that Delhi Capitals coach Ricky Ponting will try to bid on Glenn Maxwell due to his all rounder ability.

“They have Hetmyer in the middle order. They can look for another big hitter. Glenn Maxwell might just be an option as they might go after him. Ricky Ponting likes this player a lot and I won’t be surprised if he lifts the paddle at least once for him. They might think about him because they need a finisher” stated by Aakash Chopra.

It is also in facts that with the release of players like Mohit Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, Franchise should buy an Indian Fast Bowler to strengthen the bowling unit to support Ishant Sharma and Avesh Khan.
