Gautam Gambhir, two-time world cup hero and current politician, has isolated himself at home after a member of his family tested Covid-19 positive recently. The 39-year old is Member of Lok Sabha from East Delhi since 2019 and resides in Delhi currently.
Gautam Gambhir is one of the most successful limited overs cricketers in India. The left-hander scored fifties in both World Cup wins by team India last decade. Informing about his self-isolation, Gautam Gambhir advised the people to follow the guidelines and take the fatal virus serious in a tweet.
“Due to a case at home, I have been in isolation awaiting my COVID test result. Urge everyone to follow all guidelines & not take this lightly. Stay safe!”, Gambhir tweeted.

Delhi is one of the badly hit Covid-19 cities in India, Covid-19 cases in national capital are on surge and with the air quality deteriorating continuously as the winter approach, there are little chances of improvement.
Delhi Chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal also warned the citizen about the same and cautioned everyone to remain indoors and vigilant in such critical times. “We are seeing all round the sky is covered with smoke, and because of this the situation from coronavirus is worsening,” Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi’s chief minister, said in a recorded video on Twitter.
