Now-a-days It has become a trend among cricket experts to announce their favourite XIs for the different formats of the game. After announcing all time Test XI comprising Indian and Pakistan greats recently, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra has now announced combined all-time ODI XI of Indo-Pak players.
Chopra, who is highly regarded for his views about Cricket, in a recent session on Instagram, come up with all-time Indo-Paki combined ODI XI. In his XI, Aakash has included 5 players of India and 6 of Pakistan.
Since the decade of 90’s, India and Pakistan is one of the most fascinating rivalries in International Cricket. Since the 90’s both teams have been boasted of a number of GOAT players like Sachin Tendulkar, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Inzamam-Ul-Haq among others.
Aakash Chopra, in his XI, has chosen Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar and Modern day great Rohit Sharma as openers. Both Sachin and Rohit have been phenomenal throughout their career. At No.3, Chopra has picked none other than chase master Virat Kohli, who will be followed by World Cup champions Javed Miandad and Inzamam-ul-Haq at No. 4 and No.5 respectively. Both the Pakistani players played a good hand in Pakistan’s World Cup win in 1992.
At No.6., comes in another World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni, who will play the finisher’s role along with donning gloves. For the all-rounder’s slot, Chopra has gone with the legendary duo of Imran Khan and Kapil Dev. Imran Khan will continue to lead Aakash Chopra’s another XI.
As far as the bowling department is concerned, Chopra has picked Pakistan trio of swing king Wasim Akram, the great Waqar Younis and Saqlain Mushtaq to round up the XI. Aakash Chopra has included Yuvraj Singh as the 12th man in the XI.
