In the last week, Suresh Raina has been opted himself out from the Indian Premier League 2020 due to personal reason. Now another setback for Chennai Super Kings is that Harbhajan Singh likely to miss the IPL 2020.
“Harbhajan is due to join the team on Tuesday. But the situation with Chennai Super Kings currently, has left him very worried. He may rejig his schedules or even decide to skip the IPL this year,” a source close to the player said.
“He was to join the team on 1st September but he has again deferred his arrival. We don’t know when he’s coming or whether he’s coming at all as he has not updated us (management) on his decision,” the official said.
But Chennai Super kings Officials has denied that Harbhajan Singh will miss the IPL 2020.
“Him pulling out of IPL is all speculation at the moment,” the official told Times Now.
“He has not sent in any official communication and that is expected by today evening or tomorrow. But the team management has been told to prepare for the scenario wherein they may miss his services,” the source said.
Chennai Super Kings Likely to start their training from today if there test reports will come positive.
“All others, apart from the 13, have tested negative for Covid-19. They will have to undergo another test on Thursday, September 3. We are likely to start training on Friday, September 4,” CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said.
