Earlier, India’s premier all-rounder, Hardik Pandya has announced his return to the competitive cricket with a slam-bang century in DY Patil T20 Cup during the league games. Now again, in the Semi-finals, he has scored another century. The all-rounder after a longer than expected rehabilitation process has hit the ground running.
Pandya, in an unbelievable knock, hit 6 boundaries along with 20 humongous sixes. Hardik Pandya has scored unbeaten 158 runs in Just 55 balls while playing for Reliance one against BPCL in DY Patil T20 Cup.
“It’s fantastic (platform) for someone like me. I have been away for almost six months. This is my second game after a long time. For me, it is a good platform to see where I am currently and test my body. I am really happy with the way things have gone,” said Hardik Pandya as quoted by Times of India.
“If it’s there in my arc, I just back myself and go for it. Most of the time, it comes out pretty well. There is no plan that I am going to go out there and smash it,” he added
Team India squad for South Africa series has been not announced so far by BCCI. But it’s looking that Hardik Pandya makes his comeback in the team after a long time.
Hardik Pandya is an important cog in India’s limited over setup as the all-rounder provides a much-needed balance to the side with his all-round abilities. Earlier, Hardik was expected to be fit for the ongoing New Zealand tour of India A. But with his rehabilitation process is taking longer than expected, BCCI withdrawn the all-rounder from the squad after naming him initially in the teams.
South Africa tour of India will start on March 12.
