The colourful festival of holi is being celebrated throughout the country. Cricket fraternity have posted pics on social media platform playing holi and wishing everyone holi. Cricketers have wished holi through social media to their fans and everyone.
Holi is festival of colours. Holi is celebrated throughout India as a victory of good over evil. When Lord Vishnu took the avatar of narasimha and saved Prahlad from Holika and killed Asur hirankashyap. A day before holi, holika is also celebrated. Prahlad was a devotee of Lord Vishnu which his father hirankashap does not liked. He told prahlad to stop worshiping Lord Vishnu or he will set him on fire. But prahlad didn’t stop worshipping Lord Vishnu. Holika, Prahlada’s evil aunt, tricked him into sitting on a pyre with her. Holika had a power that made her immune to injury from fire, while Prahlada was not. As the fire roared, the cloak flew from Holika and encased Prahlada, who survived while Holika burned. Vishnu, the god who appears as an avtar of narshima appears and kills hirankashyap and saves prahlad.
The Holika bonfire and Holi signifies the celebration of the symbolic victory of good over evil, of Prahlada over Hiranyakashipu, and of the fire that burned Holika.
