With a big loss of 277 run defeat for Indian team led them to lose the first spot which they regained by historic win against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the fist Chennai Test, England defeated Indian team which eventually led the Men in Blue to lose the apex spot and drop to the fourth spot.

With the loss, Indian Team had only 68.3% with 680 points while the World Cup Defending Champions have 70.2% with 442 points in their kitty. Only team who has qualified for the final is New Zealand. All we want to know the second spot where three teams are fighting for the spot- INDIA, AUSTRALIA and ENGLAND.

The Race towards Final spot for Indian Cricket Team

After a heavy loss in the opening test match, Now Indian team are in the condition to win the remaining matches. Another loss can’t be affordable for the team. If they want to seal the final spot then they have to win the series by 3-1 or at least by 2-1. This is the only condition for Men In Blue to conquer the final spot to play against New Zealand at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

If England wins the series against India

Australia’s destiny is in the hands of England team as if England team wins the series by 1-0,2-0 or 2-1 then, Kangaroos will seal the final berth whereas if the visiting team defeats the hosts side in three matches out of four then it will make them for the final spot against New-Zealand.

If Series gets draw

If the ongoing Home series gets draw that is 1-1 or 2-2 then, it will ultimately result goes towards Australia to seal the final berth and thus eliminates both England and Indian team out of the race.

After this tremendous win over Indian team, England skipper Joe Root has levelled the record of most Test wins with Micheal Vaughan (26 Wins).
