Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly, in a meeting, affirmed that India will play three ODIs and five T20Is against Sri Lanka in July.
The India versus Sri Lanka visit which should be held in July 2021 has affirmed that there are no indications of IPL being facilitated any time soon.
India has the last stage of the World Test Championship planned for June. Virat Kohli’s men will play the WTC last against New Zealand from June 18 2021 at Southampton.
After the WTC last, India has a 5-match away Test arrangement against England that will start from August 5.
In this way, theories were made that IPL might be held between the accessible window of June 22, 2021, and August 5, 2021. However, Sourav Ganguly has stopped every one of the theories by reporting that India will play a T20I and ODI arrangement against Sri Lanka in July 2021.
“India is supposed to go to Sri Lanka for three ODIs and five T20Is. There are lots of organisational hazards like 14-day quarantine. It cant happen in India. This quarantine is tough to handle. Too early to say how we can find a slot to complete the IPL.” Said by Ganguly.
“Bubble life is harsh; its the toughest thing. Since last September, a majority of players around the world have been living inside a bubble. There is no option. We cant play cricket without the bubble.” Added by Ganguly.
The current scenario of India is worst so any conduction of sport is high way too risky that leads to only maintaining sports by playing away matches and with a tour in Sri-Lanka will also help them to prepare for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
