Chennai Super Kings have lost another match in the Indian Premier League 2020 against Delhi Capitals. They have only three matches out of nine matches they have played so far in the tournament. CSK is standing at number six position in the points table with six points.
In the last match Chennai Super kings won the toss and opted to bat first. They posted a decent total on the board but failed to defend it. CSK has scored 179 runs with the loss of fours wickets. Delhi Capitals has won the match in the last over.
Ravindra Jadeja bowled the last over for Chennai Super Kings instead of DJ Bravo. DJ Bravo left the field due to injury.
Speaking at the end of the game, MS Dhoni explained the reason behind not giving Dwayne Bravo the ball for the final over and instead handing it to Jadeja. The CSK skipper revealed that Bravo was not fit and was out of the field. He explained that the option was to pick between Jadeja and Karn Sharma and he decided to go with the left-arm spinner.
“Bravo was not fit. He went out and didn’t come back,’ MS Dhoni said.
“The options were Jaddu and Karn. I went with Jaddu. Shikhar’s wicket was important but we dropped him quite a number of times. If he keeps batting, he will keep the strike rate high. Also the wicket played better in the second half, but we can’t take the credit away from Shikhar. There wasn’t a lot of dew, but there was just enough to make the pitch better.”

“That makes a big difference: minus 10 when you are batting, and the extra 10 for the team batting second. A positive was Sam’s last over. He needs convincing he can execute the wide yorkers. He is not usually confident with that, but today he did well with that. So that is one ball that can be difficult to hit.”
DJ Bravo ruled out from the rest of the IPL 2020
“No, Bravo isn’t playing any more part this time around and the groin injury has ruled him out. He will be flying back in a day or two,” the CEO said. “Undoubtedly Raina and Harbhajan are both vital cogs in the CSK unit and they were missed. But you have to respect personal decisions and that is how we function irrespective of whether it is a senior or junior player,” he explained.
