Jasprit Bumrah got his shoulder injured during the Indian Premier League 2019 clash between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals on Sunday, 24 March. Jasprit bumrah got injured when he bowling the final bowl of the final over to Rishabh Pant, who hit it back as a straight drive towards the bowler, and as Bumrah dived towards his left, his shoulder hit the field. He was looking in severe pain.

Bumrah walked out of the stadium as it can be clearly seen that he was in severe pain. He did not come out for batting also and Delhi Capitals was announced winner of the match even though Mumbai Indians have 1 wicket left. It was a huge scare for Indian cricket team and Indians fans as he has to play the world cup after IPL. Without Bumrah Indian bowling would have become very weak. He is the ranked No 1 in ICC ranking of bowlers. The Indian bowling heavily relies on bumrah, especially in death overs of match.  But good news has come for Jasprit Bumarh and Inidan fans. He has recovered from his shoulder injury.

This was confirmed by MI in a tweet:-

MI managnent has said that Bumrah has recovered well although Mumbai Indians physiotherapist, Nitin Patel was still assessing him.  Delhi capitals scored 213 runs. Risahabh Pant palyed an outstanding knock of 78 runs in 27 balls which included 7 fours and 7 sixes. His innings helped DC to achieve the score of 200+ runs. MI was not successful in chasing the target. But there was a silver lining for MI – Yuvraj Singh scored a half century and showed his credibility to his team.

For MI there was some good cameo performance by Kevin pollard and Krunal Pandey but it can’t help MI to win the match.

MI next match is against RCB in Bangalore on 28th march. Both teams will be looking to register their first win in IPL as both teams have lost their first match of IPL.
