IPL is the better tournament than the world cup: AB De Villiers


South African player AB De Villiers who is currently playing in IPL. Along with Virat Kohli, He has played an important role for RCB in the last few years. But they could not win the IPL title so far. In this season of IPL, De Villiers has played 12 matches so far and scored 441 runs with an average of 49.00.

In a recent interview with Livemint, when reporters asked AB De Villiers, which tournament is better, World cup or IPL, he said IPL is the better tournament than the world cup.

“Nothing comes close to the IPL, to be honest. I know I am sitting in India and busy playing in the IPL, so it’s easy to say. But I have played in quite a few (tournaments) now across the world. I think it’s better than the World Cup. It’s the most incredible tournament to be part of. It wasn’t always the case. The first five years were nowhere close to where we are now. It’s so intense, so fast, and the following is just incredible,” De Villiers was quoted as saying in Livemint.

Ab De Villiers retired from international cricket last year. He played 114 tests for South Africa and made 8765 runs with an average 50.66. In this, he scored 22 centuries and 2 double centuries. In ODIs, he scored 9577 runs in 228 matches at an average of 53.5. IN t20is, ABD scored 1672 runs in 78 matches with an average of 26.12.

ABD also smashed the fastest ODI century in just 31 balls against West Indies. In the cricket world, people know him am MR. 360.
