The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will kick start from September 19 in the UAE and the final will take place on November 10. All the teams have already reached UAE.

Before the IPL, big blow for Delhi Capitals, their English opener Jason Roy has been Ruled from the Indian Premier League 2020.

Australian left-arm fast bowler Daniel Sams will join the Delhi Capitals team in the IPL 2020 as a replacement of injured Jason Roy. The development came on the back of ECB announcing on Thursday that Roy had been ruled out of the T20I series against Pakistan due to a side strain.

Jason Roy has become the second England player who has been ruled out from the Indian Premier League 2020. Recently South Africa fast bowler Anrich Nortje replaced England allrounder Chris Woakes.

Jason Roy also ruled out from the England-Pakistan series.

“Unfortunately he (Jason Roy) tweaked his side two days ago now and will be ruled out for the three games in order to give him time to prepare for both series against Australia,” Eoin Morgan, England’s white-ball captain, said.

“At the moment we don’t anticipate it being anything serious, but we want to give him every chance to be fit for both series.”

“At the moment, given that we have a lot of flexibility, particularly with our allrounders in Joe Denly and Moeen Ali, and the reserve batters in the squad, at the moment we don’t feel a need to pull anybody in for tomorrow,” Morgan added.

“Dawid in particular has really put together an early establishment of a career that, every time he’s available, he’s put himself forward as the next man, simply by weight of runs and the rate at which he scores them,” Morgan said.
