Finally the international cricket had started in an elegant manner. Yesterday six national team had played cricket that is India vs Australia, West Indies vs New Zealand and England vs South- Africa respectively. The day was registered with comeback of almost many teams and had a blistering day. If anyone who will be wondering then it will be the management and fans of Kings XI Punjab after watching phenomenal knock by their two players Glenn Maxwell and Jimmy Neesham.
These two players were in the team of Kings XI Punjab in this season and had a very poor and disappointing campaign in UAE. Both of them hadn’t match upto the expectations they were meant. Maxwell was brought for a whooping amount of INR 10.75 crore and performed like a pale way. He played 11 matches in the tournament and only managed to score 108 runs with an awful average of 15.42 and decent strike rate of 101.88 whereas the way he played yesterday in the international match against India was something else. He was tremendous to what he always been. He scored astonishing 45 runs off just 19 balls with three sixes and five fours. He had a blistering partnership stand with Steven Smith of 57 runs in 25 balls and helped Australia to register a mammoth total of 374 with the lose of 6 wickets and won the game by 66 runs.
The way Glenn Maxwell played the same like that Jimmy Neesham played for New Zealand. Neesham also had a disappointing season with scoring just 19 runs in five games and registered with 2 wickets whereas In the international match between New Zealand and West Indies in the opening T20I series, he played terrific knock of an unbeaten 48 runs in just 24 balls and leading the team to achieve the target in just 15.2 overs.
Jimmy Neesham’s reaction:
After the phenomenal knocks by both the players and having disappointing season in the IPL wasn’t enough to make the fans sad, Neesham outcrops salts on the wounding by commenting hilarious reaction on Twitter.
He is well for his sarcastic replies on the social networking sites. Jimmy Neesham re-tweeted a meme from an user who posted a image which was taken on the World Cup match of India and Pakistan where a man was standing and was disappointed with Pakistan’s performance. The user morphed the image and put the face of Kings XI Punjab skipper KL Rahul’s face to describe the reaction.
